Hallo
Hello, I’m Şenol Uryan, a passionate chef and meze & seafood specialist from Köyceğiz, Turkey, now living in Kapellen, Belgium. With a rich background in culinary arts and a deep love for creating dishes that tell a story, I bring the vibrant flavors of Anatolian cuisine to life. My journey began in the bustling kitchens of Muğla, where I honed my craft as a chef at Cennet Restaurant, mastering cold mezzes like biberli borani, humus, and acılı Antep ezme, as well as seafood delights such as kalamar tava and tereyağında somon. I’ve also worked as a Chef de Partie in 4-star hotels across Turkey and led a private school cafeteria as Head Chef, focusing on menu planning and food safety.
Beyond the kitchen, I hold an MA in Political Science & International Relations, which fuels my curiosity about the world and its diverse cultures. I’m also a certified life coach, dedicated to inspiring others to pursue their passions with purpose. As I settle into life in Belgium, I’m learning Dutch (starting B1 in September) and embracing new opportunities to share my culinary creations and stories.
Through Taste of Anatolia, I invite you to explore the art of Turkish cuisine, from vibrant mezzes to seasonal salads, while sharing insights from my journey as a chef, life coach, and global citizen. Whether you’re a food enthusiast or simply curious, join me in celebrating the flavors and stories that connect us all.
